Jessica Garcia, a Year 12 student from the 2012 class at RSC, created a music video for the song La Playa, by Angelic Warfare.
Jessica filmed this video on a Canon 550D using the technique of lens whacking. This involves detaching the lens from the camera and hold it in front of the body. This gives the dream like effect and allows some light leak. Jess focused on using a technique called lens whacking for Production Exercise One using a Canon 550D and colour correcting as Exercise Two using Final Cut Pro 6. She knew that she was going to uses these two techniques for her final video and decided to experiment with the technology for Unit 3. |
