Whether a movie is a rotten tomato or a brilliant work of art, if people are watching it, it's worth critiquing. A good movie review should entertain, persuade and inform, providing an original opinion without giving away too much of the plot. A great movie review can be a work of art in its own right. |
MARC FENNELLWe will be drawing inspiration from Marc Fennell, "That Movie Guy". You may have heard him on Triple J or seen him on TV on ABC or on SBS's The Feed.
Have a listen to some of his movie reviews to get ideas on how to set up your own radio task. Think about how Fennell presents the films, how he manipulates and changes his voice, and how he makes use of other sound techniques to review the films. |
THE TASK
You are required to write and record a 1-2 minute film review of a movie. Your review must include the following:
RESEARCH Before choosing a film to review, you may wish to look at the Internet Movie Database IMDb or the film review and news website Rotten Tomoatoes. |
