Chronicle (Trank, 2012)
Handheld camera, or shaky-cam was perhaps most famously used in films such as The Evil Dead (1981) and The Blair Witch Project (1999), and has become an interesting way of adding to a narrative. Watch this trailer for the film Chronicle, which uses handheld cameras for the entire film! It switches between the camera held by the protagonists (the boys), and mobile phone, CCTV, and news footage, giving the audience a more realistic impression of the story that unfolds. |
